MILL-FRESH is a unique chemistry treatment specifically designed to resolve the challenges pulp and paper mills encounter concerning mercaptans, Non-Condensible Gases (NCGs), Total Reduced Sulfur (TRS) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Chlorine and chlorine dioxide are commonly used as bleaching agents in many pulp and paper making processes. In the event of an accidental release, chlorine and chlorine dioxide present serious hazards. Exposure to even relatively low levels of chlorine can be fatal.

FreshAWL MILL-FRESH is the safe but powerfully effective alternative solution that will:

An existing MILL-FRESH client's NCG system is a complex piping system that processes NCG from five different input sources then routes them to two boilers for incineration. Before breaking any of the pipe flanges for the maintenance cleaning, the system contained approximately 5,000 gallons of contaminated water, which required neutralization.

Q: What is the comparable efficacy of MILL-FRESH to bleach or other competing chemicals?
A: MILL-FRESH will be 99-100% effective on the H2S and mercaptans. It will also be 100% effective on the filamentous, whereas bleach can only achieve a 40-50% effect.

Q: Will MILL-FRESH cut chemical addition rates?
A: Yes, as little as 4 gallons of MILL-FRESH will do a better job in H2S elimination than 275 gallons of 12.5% chlorine.

Q: Will MILL-FRESH harm system components or surfaces?
A: Absolutely not, MILL-FRESH like all FreshAWL waste treatment solutions is an independent laboratory tested corrosion inhibitor in accordance with Corrosivity to Steel (EPA 1110).
